Director: Dawn Hall Cartee, (706) 542-3451The University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education provides educational conferences, courses, and programs for lifelong learners. The Georgia Center offers noncredit continuing education programs on campus, throughout the state, and internationally, drawing on the rich resources of the University and working closely with its faculty as well as professionals from around the world.
The Georgia Center is also home to the UGA Hotel and Conference Center which features a 200-room hotel, four onsite dining options as well as private banquet facilities. The conference center provides space dedicated to meeting and exhibits, including an auditorium and 25 meeting rooms in a variety of sizes. The largest meeting room can accommodate up to 600 people. �The facility is open to UGA and non-UGA affiliated individuals and groups.

EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS
The University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education provides noncredit learning opportunities for adults and youth seeking to expand their�professional and personal horizons. Courses are available in a wide variety of subjects�and in numerous delivery formats, including online, classroom, and print. Courses are offered at times convenient for nontraditional learners and are held at The Georgia Center in Athens, the UGA Gwinnett Campus as well as at off-campus locations and corporate sites.
Professional and Personal Development
The Department of Professional and Personal Development provides a variety of continuing education programs, including Advanced Placement Summer Institute for Teachers. Programs offered by the department are targeted toward enhancing professional workplace skills, enriching personal interests, and engaging youth in academic activities. CEU-awarding certificate programs include: Using Social Media to Build Business, Instructional Design, Human Resources Management, Project Management, Business Process Management, Global TESOL, Developmental Teaching-Therapy, Professional Interpreter in Education, American Sign Language, Grant Writing, Principles of Turfgrass Management, Paralegal, Spanish/English Medical and Legal Interpreter, Korean/English Medical Interpreter, Gerontology, Healthcare Management, Principles of Marketing Research, Governmental Finance, Executive Coaching, and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. Personal development programs include: Digital Photography, Armitage�s Herbaceous Perennials, Speed Reading, and Test Preparation (LSAT, GRE, and GMAT). Youth programs include: residential summer camps, reading workshops, and SAT test prep. The Office of Academic Special Programs provides activities and competitions that showcase the academic talents and college readiness of Georgia's middle school and high school students. Through these programs, students expand their critical thinking and academic skills by performing original research in a variety of fields and presenting their results in conferences, expos, and competitions. Programs include the Northeast Georgia National History Day, Georgia Junior Science and Humanities Symposium, and the Georgia Science and Engineering Fair. The Savannah Room Restaurant offers lunch and dinner specials made with "sustainable" ingredients, including local, certified organic produce grown either at UGA's horticulture farm or area farms. During your break from class, stop by Georgia Java, proudly serving Jittery Joe's coffee, cappuccino, espresso, specialty drinks, and delicious baked goods.
